A Public discussion forum means that everyone across every role can see the contents and participate in discussions.

Setting a discussion forum as Private means that only those selected Roles or User Groups are able to access it (Admins are always able to view)

  1. Click Edit on the forum you want to make private. (The option also displays on the popup when creating a new forum.)
  2. On the popup, under Privacy Settings click "Private". 
  3. Select which Roles you want to allow access ("viewable only by").
  4. Click Save.
Note: Private forums can only be set by Role OR User Group, not both at the same time. Please contact the support team if you would like to have the selection switched to workplace.
